Dreaming Big, Building Bold, and Leading with Purpose
Meet Kayla Scott, Class of ’25 and already a name you’ll want to remember. Kayla isn’t just a student but she is a visionary entrepreneur, and recently became a finalist in a national entrepreneurial competition, going head-to-head with some of the brightest young minds in the country. She earned her spot not just with smarts, but with heart, building a business idea that’s innovative, empowering, and full of real-world impact.
Kayla’s not out here just trying to make money. She’s creating solutions, solving problems and showing what leadership looks like when it comes from purpose. She’s proving that girls don’t need to wait until they’re older to change the world, they’re already doing it. Her journey got me thinking: how many other girls could be launching ideas, starting businesses, leading movements if they just had the chance? What if period poverty is silently stopping the next generation of leaders?
Here’s what I mean. Around the world, millions of girls are missing school every month because they can’t afford pads or tampons. They sit out of class. Miss exams. Lose confidence. Fall behind. And sometimes… they give up altogether. Imagine if Kayla Scott had missed school every time she got her period. Would she have had the chance to pitch her idea on a national stage? Would she have believed her voice mattered?
Girls deserve more than survival. They deserve dignity, education and the tools to thrive. We often talk about supporting women in business, but support has to start way earlier with equal access, period care, and encouragement for every girl to dream big, speak up and go for it. Kayla is proof of what happens when girls are supported. She’s smart. She’s fearless. She’s ready. Now it’s up to us to make sure every girl gets the same chance to shine.
Here’s to you, Kayla ...keep building, dreaming, and leading the way. The future is brighter because of you.
