Build a Girl's Toilet. Keep Girls in School

As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the projects that shaped my year and helped me grow the most. One that continues to inspire me is Beads for Life. I started it in order to raise awareness about period poverty.
This year brought an unexpected and urgent learning moment. I discovered that the elementary school my mom attended in first grade in her home village in Africa, still serves over 1,200 children but lacks a safe, private toilet for girls. Without proper facilities, many girls especially those entering puberty miss school, putting their education and confidence at risk.
That realization pushed me to take action.
Through Beads for Life, I’m raising funds to help build a dedicated girls’ toilet at this school. I’ve already raised $450 through Christmas bracelet sales and I’m working to raise $3,500 more to make this project possible. Every bracelet purchased and every donation helps girls stay in school with dignity.
This year has taught me the power of listening, learning and turning awareness into action. I’m incredibly grateful for the growth, support and encouragement along the way and excited to carry this momentum into the new year.
If this resonates with you, I’d be grateful for your support or for sharing this campaign. 💛
